Occasionally I’m fortunate enough to meet someone so interesting I think they’re worth telling other people about, today was one of those days. For an all too brief period over breakfast, I had the chance to chat to Rob Webbon of Presca. I’ll let Rob tell you a bit more about what makes them so interesting.

Saturday 1st saw the launch of Team Boompods GB Elite Women’s Cycling Team this weekend at NRG Cycles. It was a great opportunity to meet the Team and see the kit come to fruition.
Presca is proud to be Team Boompods kit partners for the 2020 season, we have utilised the most innovative sustainable performance fabrics available. This year we will be providing Skin Suits, Jersey, Bib Shorts, Winter Jackets and Gilets to the team which will make the Team Boompods kit the most sustainable on the women’s tour this year.
Team Boompods will be racing throughout the UK, and we will be sharing dates of where you can see them”
What I wasn’t aware of until meeting Rob was that all synthetic material is made from crude oil and at the end of its useful life goes to landfill. If you’re a member of a cycling club when you’re ready to change your team kit think about doing your bit.
